The latest medical
journals now emphasize the importance of trace
minerals in human health and suggest that high
blood pressure may be related to the gradual
accumulation of cadmium in the kidneys through
environmental exposure in drinking water
supplies and industrial smoke.
The levels of
essential and nonessential minerals can be
analyzed in tissue samples from hair, blood,
skin, fat, and fingernails. Mineral levels such
as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, etc.
are measured to indicate what is happening to
the body chemistry as a result of stress,
whether it be from allergies, poor nutrition, or
beginnings of initial disease states. These
changes appear to reflect health problems which
may eventually lead to chronic disease. Most of
us are aware of the pollution of our environment
by lead from industry, such as paints and
gasoline, as well as by Mercury in our teeth
fillings and now in our fish and in some paints;
and by other heavy metals, like arsenic and
cadmium. Few of us were informed, however, that
the total lead content in every one of us is now
approximately 400 times higher than it would
have been 1,000 years ago. Experts now believe
this high level of lead is already impairing our
finer intellectual thought processes such as
memory and learning abilities. A hair, blood,
and urine analysis is recommended to any patient
whom we suspect may have been or is being
exposed to excessive toxic heavy metals.
Studies have
demonstrated the correlation between toxic
levels of both aluminum and mercury in
Alzheimer’s Disease, a condition that causes
early senility, loss of memory, and aberrant
behavior.
The findings of the
hair, blood, and urine analysis must be
correlated to understand the intermediate
metabolism of any toxin in the body, as well as
understanding the metabolism of essential
nutrients. Micronutrient IV therapy is the
well-known treatment of choice for lead and
other metal toxicities in the body.
Complimentary packets of information regarding
micronutrient therapy at our clinic can be
obtained by anyone wanting to learn more about
IV therapy and other protocols we have at our
clinic.
